About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Halal Officer to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products, processes, ingredients, and production practices comply with Halal certification requirements and relevant regulatory standards. You will support the maintenance of the Company's Halal Management System through inspections, documentation, supplier verification, employee awareness, and internal audits while working closely with production, procurement, and quality teams to uphold Halal integrity across the business.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Islamic Studies, Quality Management, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in Halal compliance, quality assurance, or food manufacturing (experience within the food industry preferred)
- Working knowledge of UAE Halal requirements (UAE.S 2055 series), GSO standards, Halal certification schemes, HACCP, GMP, and food safety systems
- Understanding of Halal ingredient verification, traceability, segregation, sanitation, and contamination control
- Experience conducting internal audits, inspections, and maintaining Halal documentation and records
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to train and raise awareness among employees on Halal requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
